Three Wall Classes.
Choose by Application, Not by Guesswork.

IS:1239 defines Light, Medium, and Heavy class by wall thickness for the same NB size. Picking the wrong class means either over-spending on steel or under-building on pressure capacity.

Why Contractors & Industrial Buyers in Central India Buy MS Pipe from Us

Not just supply. Class-verified stock, weight-checked dispatch, and practical guidance for buyers who can't afford a wrong pipe specification on site.

⚖️
Wall Thickness Verified
Under-gauge MS pipes are common in the market and a serious safety risk in pressure applications. We verify class (L/M/H) and wall against IS:1239 before every dispatch.
📋
Mill TC on Primary Supply
For IS:1239 and IS:3589 branded material, mill test certificates covering chemical composition, tensile, and hydraulic test results are available for compliance-driven projects.
📏
True NB Sizes, No Substitutes
We don't substitute 40 NB for 32 NB and call it close enough. The NB size you order is the NB size we dispatch — critical when fittings and flanges are pre-specified.
✂️
Cut-to-Length Available
Standard 6M lengths are stock. Project-specific cutting is available for qualifying quantities — useful for scaffolding, handrail fabrication, and structured frame work.
🏭
Full Structural BOQ Supply
Need MS Pipes, I Beams, Channels, Angles, and TMT on one job? We consolidate multi-product orders on a single bill and dispatch — fewer vendors, cleaner site coordination.
🔍
Source Transparency
For commercial grade pipe, we disclose brand and source details on request before dispatch. That stops buyers from receiving mis-labelled, reject, or non-conforming sections.

FAQ — MS Pipe Size Chart, Weight & Price

What is the difference between IS:1239 Light, Medium, and Heavy class MS Pipe?
All three classes have the same NB (nominal bore) size and OD (outer diameter) — the difference is wall thickness. Light class has the thinnest wall and is used for non-pressure applications like scaffolding and fence frames. Medium class is the most commonly specified for general water supply and structural use. Heavy class has the thickest wall and is used for high-pressure water, gas, steam, and fire-fighting lines. Always confirm the class required before procurement — the price and performance difference between L and H is significant.
What is the MS Pipe weight per metre for common NB sizes?
Standard MS Pipe weight per metre (Medium class, IS:1239): 15 NB = 1.21 kg/m · 25 NB = 2.42 kg/m · 50 NB = 5.23 kg/m · 80 NB = 8.85 kg/m · 100 NB = 13.44 kg/m · 150 NB = 22.81 kg/m. Use our MS Pipe weight calculator above to get total tonnage for any size, class, and quantity combination.
What is ERW pipe and how is it made?
ERW (Electric Resistance Welded) pipe is made by rolling a flat steel strip into a cylindrical form and welding the seam using high-frequency electric resistance. The weld zone is then heat-treated to normalise the grain structure. ERW pipes are the most commonly used MS pipes for water, structural, and general fabrication applications. They conform to IS:1239 (up to 150 NB) and IS:3589 (above 150 NB) for Indian market supply.
Do you provide mill test certificates with MS Pipe supply?
Yes, for branded primary supply from manufacturers like SAIL, Jindal, APL Apollo, and Tata Structura. Mill test certificates covering chemical composition, tensile strength, and hydraulic pressure test results are available. If your project, consultant, or tender specification requires grade compliance documentation, confirm this at enquiry stage.
What is the standard length for MS Pipe and can I get custom cuts?
Standard supply is in 6 metre random lengths as per IS:1239. Fixed-length or cut-to-requirement supply is available for qualifying project quantities. This is useful for scaffolding systems, handrail fabrication, structural frame panels, and compound fencing where consistent piece lengths reduce site cutting waste.
What is the difference between MS Pipe and GI Pipe?
MS Pipe (mild steel) is uncoated and used for structural applications, gas lines, and applications where corrosion protection will be applied externally (paint, epoxy, cement lining). GI Pipe (galvanised iron) is an MS pipe hot-dip coated in zinc — used for potable water, domestic plumbing, and outdoor applications where long-term corrosion resistance without additional coating is required. MS Pipe is generally lower cost; GI Pipe offers inherent corrosion protection.
How often does MS Pipe price change and what drives it?
MS Pipe price is market-linked and can move daily based on hot-rolled coil (HRC) prices — the primary input material for ERW pipe — plus manufacturer price revisions, freight, and seasonal construction demand. We provide same-day rate quotes on WhatsApp — always get a fresh rate before finalising a bulk order rather than relying on older quotations.
